Guidance

In the Early Childhood Center, the Director of Guidance, faculty, and administration work together to create a warm atmosphere that sets the foundation for our students’ social and emotional development. Students learn the skills for emotion management, problem solving, and respectful communication so they can grow socially and emotionally.

In addition to facilitating social-emotional learning, the Director of Guidance oversees the children’s individual emotional, social, and learning progress, collaborating regularly with the faculty and administration. The Guidance Team has monthly meetings with the teachers of every class, where they review how each student is doing. Students receive individualized support when necessary, including classroom observations. The Guidance Team is always available to meet with parents about their children. We care about the development of every student, and our goal is to set each child up for success both inside and outside of school.
