Guidance

In the Early Childhood Center, the School Psychologist consults regularly with administration and faculty as they all try to create a sense of involvement for the families and the children, creating a warm atmosphere that complements the students' emotional and developmental experience.

Faculty also regularly consult with the School Psychologist in order to monitor the academic, social, and emotional progress of all students. Classroom observations will often be conducted in order to follow such progress.

The School Psychologist conducts monthly team meetings with teachers of each class together with administrators, wherein they review the functioning and progress of every child. The School Psychologist is available at all times to meet with parents who have concerns about their child's social, learning, or developmental progress. The School Psychologist will recommend consultation with an outside professional if appropriate.

The ECC Director in consultation with the School Psychologist work as partners with teachers, parents, and the children themselves, to provide direct programs to accommodate their students' social, emotional, and learning issues.
