Upper Schoolers Rock Out at RamJam

Ramaz News

Upper School students sang and danced along with their classmates at the annual RamJam showcase of student performing arts groups. The show opened with the Guitar Ensemble's rendition of "Yellow" by Coldplay. Although the performance was instrumental, students in the audience who knew the lyrics sang along passionately. Then, the Band played another Coldplay hit, "In My Place." The Chamber Choir catered to the One Direction fans in the crowd with an acapella version of "Drag Me Down." The Percussion Ensemble performed an original piece written by Mr. Elisha, "Ram Hop," that involved the participation of the entire audience! The Jazz ensemble brought the grooves with "Watermelon Man" by Herbie Hancock and the Dance Team brought the moves with their performance titled, "The RamJam." The audience turned their phone flashlights up, swayed, and sang along with the High School Choir's performance of "All of Me," by John Legend. Finally, the Band came back on to close the performance with a crowd-favorite: "Dancing Queen," by Abba, which got the whole audience up on their feet.
