Upper Schoolers Celebrate at Their End-of-Year Ceremonies

The Upper School celebrated an amazing 2025-2026 school year with assemblies that were both fun and reflective. Each grade had their own gradewide closing ceremony, which contained recap montages of the year's highlights, live performances by students, heartfelt goodbye speeches to students who are unfortunately moving away, and presenting special awards to peers who went above and beyond this year. Mazal tov to everyone, including to all the incredible gradewide award winners!

The schoolwide assembly was full of emotion and paying tribute. It opened with an important acknowledgement of the Israelis who were recently killed in the war with Iran. Students paid tribute to them and prayed for all the wounded chayalim. The annual William Goldberg Award was presented by a young descendant of former Ramaz alumni parent and grandparent Mr. Goldberg z"l. The awardee was nominated by fellow students and faculty for demonstrating integrity, menschlichkeit, warmth, and kindness to fellow human beings. Mazal tov to Sara K. '27 for winning the award! Awards were also presented to three students who went above and beyond in their dedication to the optional Mishmar program: Kol hakavod to Charlotte F. '27, Eli G. '27, and Bella H. '28!

Another highlight of the schoolwide assembly was a recap of the year's chesed, allowing students to reflect on the immense and far-reaching impact of their chesed efforts since September. As Director of Chesed and Community Outreach Dr. Nancy Block said, quoting Rachel Goldberg Polin, “We are what we do.” The Ramaz community truly showed who they are this year with their hard work to make the local and global community a better place.
