Upper Schoolers Bake and Sell Pies for Asheville Hurricane Relief
Ramaz News
Upper Schoolers baked handmade Thanksgiving pies and sold them to raise money for Asheville, NC hurricane victims. They got inspiration for this creative chesed project when they went on their mission to provide in-person hurricane relief in Asheville. As they'd been clearing out one victim's destroyed home, including disposing of ruined kitchen supplies, they came across a pie dish with a recipe for pumpkin pie. It was a lightbulb moment for the students, who thought up the idea to make and sell pies for hurricane relief, in this victim's honor. Their fellow students and faculty were happy to purchase the pies for their Thanksgiving meals!
