Upper School Weight Lifters

Upper School Physics students were challenged to measure the weight of a car using only a bathroom scale, a few meter sticks, and a stopwatch. After spending a day mapping out a strategy, they hit 78th Street to put their plan in action. They pushed the car (+ 1 teacher, who was steering) while measuring the force exerted and the distance covered in a given time. Stay tuned to see how close their calculations come to the actual weight of approximately 3400 lbs.
