The Class of 2024 Graduates!

Ramaz News

Mazal tov to the Class of 2024 on their graduation! It was an emotional night full of moving speeches, showcased talents, and celebrated accomplishments. From Julius Z. playing "The Star-Spangled Banner" on electric guitar to the beautiful speeches by Aviva W. and Raymond A.—the former speech in Hebrew and the latter in English—the class proved the diversity of their skills and the immensity of their poise. The event featured many powerful talks, including by Principal Emeritus Rabbi Haskel Lookstein '49, for whom it was the 75th anniversary of graduation, and by Harvard Hillel Rabbi Noah Marlowe '14. All the while, the students wore stoles that read "BRING THEM HOME," forever remembering and honoring the hostages even during life's happiest moments.

Throughout the program, fun video interviews played, in which seniors shared everything from their favorite memories at Ramaz to their embarrassment at photos from freshman year. The whole class filled the stage and gave spirited group song performances, accompanied by bassist Liam G. and guitarist Julius Z., of the inspiring "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield and "Am Yisrael Chai." Graduating Chamber Choir members Milli A., Ari G., Dahlia H., Adrian R., and Aviva W. performed an a cappella rendition of "HaTikvah" in five-part harmony, standing alongside Adi E., who will be joining the IDF. After the beautiful conferral of their diplomas and the turning of their tassels, students joined their doting families at a collation full of desserts, pictures, giant cartoon cut-outs of each student's face, and heartfelt goodbyes.
