Students See a Dream-Come-True Ballet at Lincoln Center

Ramaz News

In the latest installment of its “Ha-Sifriyah Matzigah” series, the Ramaz Upper School Library had a dream come true: they headed to the New York City Ballet in Lincoln Center to see A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The ballet was created by Georges Balanchine, out of Felix Mendelssohn’s incidental music for the eponymous Shakespeare comedy. Charlotte F. '27 said, “I really enjoyed the ballet” adding that she thinks “it's important to see culture like this.” Hanna K. '28 said, “Having the opportunity to go see A Midsummer’s Night Dream at NYC ballet was an amazing experience. Especially because we read the play in school last year, it was really interesting seeing the ballet’s interpretation of the play.”
