Read the Article: Displaced Israeli High Schoolers Visit Ramaz for a Heartwarming Game of Basketball

Ramaz News

It was an afternoon of true connection when Israeli high schoolers visited for a friendly game of basketball. The team comprises boys from the south of Israel, whose communities were some of those hit hardest by October 7 — including the murder of a coach and multiple players taken hostage. The team members have all been displaced since October 7, and have been unable to play basketball together since the war began. They visited Ramaz as part of Project 24: Project Basketball, which helped them travel here so they can finally play as a team again. Our students gave a warm welcome, cheering them on just as loudly as they cheered on the home team. The incredible game was neck and neck until the final buzzer, when the teams ended with a 45-45 tie. Our students felt so grateful to unite with the visitors and loved sharing some real Ramaz spirit.

The event was even attended by a reporter from The New York Post. To read The Post's article about this special event, please click here.
