RAMcorps Seniors Partner with Jewish Organizations for Leadership and Chesed

Ramaz seniors participating in the RAMcorps leadership program this week kicked it off by partnering with GrowTorah. They spent the day learning about the environment and sustainability, and really got their hands dirty by weeding and planting strawberries. They even hung out with Ramaz alumnus Spence Weitzen '08, who now works for Grow Torah!

Next, the students helped out at Yad Leah, an organization that provides quality clothing to thousands of families in need across Israel— empowering them with confidence, dignity, and self-respect. The 12th graders spent hours learning about the organization, the constituents who receive the donations, the process from start to finish of how everything works, and sorted, packed, and loaded truck loads of donations! Their teachers are so proud of the students for spending their last few weeks of high school truly invested in community building, leadership, and chesed!
