Mock Trial Team Scores 5th in the State

The Ramaz George Jacobs Mock Trial Team made it to the New York State Championship! They were one of only eight schools statewide selected for this prestigious accomplishment, which was the result of the team's impressive performance in the New York City Championship against Hunter. Kol hakavod to NYC Championship prosecution members Avi F.K. '27. This marks the first time Ramaz has made it to State in 21 years. Special thanks to Lawyer-Coach Michael Goldstein for the many hours of work he put in to help Ramaz achieve this incredible feat.

 

The team took a trip to Albany for the State Championship. They put up a strong fight throughout, including the defense team's impressive takedown of Ward Melville in the first round. When all the smoke cleared, Ramaz came in fifth place in the Empire State. What a phenomenal performance! The team looks forward to a triumphant return next year.
