StandWithUs's Max Kasler Teaches Engagement Strategies to Israel Advocacy Club
Ramaz News
Max Kasler, High School Regional Manager at StandWithUs, visited the Israel Advocacy Club to teach its members effective engagement and messaging strategies. Max began by explaining how to differentiate legitimate criticism of Israel from antisemitism. He used the 3Ds, a pneumonic created by Natan Sharansky: if the statement demonizes, delegitimizes, or holds Israel to a double standard, then it is antisemitic. Then, Max taught the club strategies for how to engage with someone who does cross this line, even (and especially) if they didn't mean to be antisemitic. Students took turns roleplaying different scenarios and conversations to practice. The members of the Israel Advocacy Club were grateful for the tools and tips they can keep with them to use in the future.
