Kol haKavod To These Upper School Students On Their Siyum

Ramaz News

Throughout the school year, the tenth grade Gemara class has participated in the Yeshiva University Bekiut Program. The program gives students the opportunity to learn a daf of Masechet Megillah every week. The sophomore class spent their free time learning independently and then tested their knowledge every few weeks by taking the YU quiz on the dafim they learned. But a group of students went a bit further in their studies!

Upon nearing the end of the year and realizing that they only had a few dafim left to study, Rachel B. '25, Alex S. '25, and Avi F. '25 decided to learn the rest of the Masechet Megillah with the goal of making a siyum. For Rachel and Avi, this is the first siyum they've ever made! The group enjoyed learning a large portion of Gemara at a fast pace as they began to see that the insights they were gaining were relevant in their day-to-day lives. They studied interesting stories about Biblical characters and debunked (and proved) stories that they were taught as children. The group agrees that they cannot wait to make another siyum soon! Kol haKavod!
