Jacob Doft Visits And Discusses Truthfulness

Mr. Jacob Doft '87, who is a Ramaz alum, a Ramaz parent, a past Ramaz Board Chair, and a hedge fund manager, visited the junior class last week to discuss the importance of truthfulness in the workplace. Sharing his own experiences with the crowd, he talked about the sacrifice that one makes when choosing to be truthful. He addressed questions like: When is it considered to be the norm to bend the truth or deceive by omission? Do people who are truthful fall behind or can they get ahead? When is the right time in life to try to figure these things out? Mr. Doft has been coming into Ramaz to discuss this much needed topic for the past few years and students love the candidness of the discussion.
