Freshmen TEC Students Present their Inventions

Ramaz News

Freshmen in the Technology, Engineering, and Computing (TEC) class have been spending all semester working on a prototype for a new invention that they think will benefit society. They presented their working prototypes to their teachers and peers. Some examples of ingenious products included a smart fan that turns on when the temperature rises above 70 degrees, and turns off when it goes below, a belt that detects obstacles so sight-impaired people can walk around freely, and a machine that alerts when the volume in a room gets too loud. Classmates and teachers asked the students questions about their design thinking process like "What was your biggest challenge?" or "What would you add if you had more time?" Maybe one day we will see these designs on Shark Tank or in stores!
