Freshmen TEC Students Design, Build, and Present Their Own Machines

Ramaz News

Freshmen in the TEC (Technology, Engineering, and Computing) class gave presentations to showcase their new inventions! Alone or in pairs, the students designed machines, built them, and demonstrated the final product to their peers. Prototypes could incorporate many elements, such as light, sound, motion sensing, and more. Inventions included a robot that rolled on wheels and swerved to avoid obstacles it detected in its path, a machine that played different songs depending on how its "potentiometer" dial was turned, and a machine that sprayed bubbles when it sensed an object in front of it. It was a fun way for students to apply their personal creativity to their new technology skills, and flex their public speaking muscles.
