Apple Picking, TODAY Show, the MOMA, and More! The US Spends the Day Exploring NYC and Beyond
Ramaz News
The hallways and classrooms were empty on Wednesday in the Upper School. No, it wasn't a day off. Students were out and about on a US trip day! At Ramaz, education does not only happen in the school building, so each grade went off on their own adventures in NYC and its surrounding areas.
Freshmen prepared for Rosh Hashanah by picking apples at Dr. Davies Farm. After collecting delicious apples and enjoying a hayride and a corn maze, they went back to the Upper School to pack the apples, challah, and more into Rosh Hashanah packages for those in need.
Sophomores had an active day in New Jersey. They began their day playing sports at Votee Park followed by lunch in Teaneck. Then, they went to High Exposure for rock climbing and ninja warrior obstacle courses.
Juniors also tested their physical skills at the Adventure Park Ropes Course in Connecticut. They bonded over trying challenging ropes courses and zip lining through the trees.
Seniors split up into smaller groups to explore landmarks and exhibits around New York City. Groups went to a live taping of a TODAY show, the Beast boat tour, a tour of the "All About Herzl" exhibit at the Streicker Center, the MOMA, the New York Public Library, northern Manhattan, and the NY Historical Society!
