Pictures Inside: Students Celebrate the Dedication of a New Sefer Torah
Ramaz News

Ramaz celebrated an amazing occasion: the dedication of a new Sefer Torah! The Bernell/Majzner family dedicated the Torah to the Upper School, and as part of the celebration, fourth and seventh graders helped escort the Torah down Park Ave! They carried it under a chuppah, waved Israeli flags, and danced along as they were accompanied by a live band! When they arrived on 78th Street, they were greeted by the sophomores, and together everyone danced in front of the Upper School.
At the Upper School, they heard powerful words about the importance of Torah from Ramaz grandparent Linda Bernell, who dedicated the Torah in honor of her children and grandchildren, and from Head of School Dr. Noam Wasserman. Everyone joined in more singing and dancing in the auditorium, accompanied by the band and KJ's Chazan Chaim Dovid Berson. All the spirited dancing worked up an appetite, which the students indulged at the special brunch, complete with cupcakes decorated like Torahs.
