Ramaz News

The Ramaz community had a beautiful afternoon at the First Annual Elliot Freilich ’92 z”l Ramaz Alumni Hockey Game. With over 300 people in attendance, the event was a powerful and moving tribute to Elliot’s legacy as a father, husband, friend, and teammate. From the heartfelt speeches to the incredible video that his daughter, Lily F. ’25, created, featuring memories shared by his former teammates, everyone present felt the deep impact Elliot had on so many lives. Ramaz officially retired jersey number 17 at the event, ensuring it will always be associated with Elliot for many generations of Ramaz athletes to come. Attendees were treated to an exciting and spirited game, with the alumni pulling off a victory against the current Ramaz Varsity Hockey Team. The energy and camaraderie on and off the court captured the very essence of what Elliot loved about Ramaz hockey. Ramaz thanks the alumni and attendees for participating, as well as the entire Freilich family for partnering with Ramaz to coordinate this unforgettable afternoon.
