Israeli President Isaac Herzog '78 Writes of His Appreciation for Ramaz Teacher Rabbi Mayer Moskowitz z"l

Ramaz News

Israel's President Isaac Herzog '78 has written to express his condolences and grief for the recent passing of Ramaz teacher Rabbi Mayer Moskowitz z"l, whom he and the community deeply cherished. Rabbi Moskowitz was a guiding force at Ramaz for more than 50 years. Through his wisdom and personal warmth, Rabbi Moskowitz inspired generations to grow in their observance, their Torah learning, and their care for one another. President Herzog, a proud alumnus of Ramaz, wrote a heartfelt letter about the impact of Rabbi Moskowitz. In his letter, he wrote, "he was the pillar of fire before our people, lighting our path forward. To me and my fellow Ramazniks, and Massadniks, Rabbi Moskowitz was the heart of hearts. He was the admired leader and beloved teacher, the all-encompassing mentor and the ultimate spiritual guide. Looking back at the profound lessons I learned from his teachings and, perhaps even more so, from his example, I feel my cup runneth over." To read the full letter, please click here.
