Sixth Graders Create their Own Mezuzot in the Innovation Lab
Ramaz News

The Innovation Lab classes welcomed Assistant Head of School Rabbi Hagler for a meaningful discussion on the significance of mezuzot. After exploring the "why" behind this tradition, sixth graders headed to the digital lab to put their own personal touches on the mitzvah. Using the program Tinkercad, students creatively designed custom 3D mezuzah cases. The project allowed them to practice essential design skills like merging shapes, aligning figures, and adding personalized symbols, while paying close attention to dimensions. Students ensured their creations were both beautiful and functional. They 3D-printed the mezuzot and look forward to using them in their homes! It was a wonderful way to see them connect their Jewish learning with hands-on innovation.
