Middle Schoolers Hold a Siyum HaShas in Memory of Alumna Daniella Moffson z"l
Ramaz News

Yom Kippur is all about setting goals and building habits to achieve these aspirations, and what better way for our Middle Schoolers to celebrate it than with a Siyum HaShas! Nearly six years ago, then-sixth grader Janelle A. worked with her teacher, Rabbi Pesach Sommer, to found a Mishnah Yomit program for her grade. This program is generously sponsored by The Daniella Moffson Foundation in loving memory of alumna Daniella Moffson z”l. Learning has been diligently held each evening, even over Zoom throughout the pandemic, while students were away at camp, and while they were on vacation all over the world. The entire Middle School attended the siyum, which included cheering on current Upper Schoolers who have played a significant role in the program over the years. Each of these Upper Schoolers received a book in recognition of their hard work! The beautiful event was accompanied by inspirational words from Rabbi Sommer, from Head of School Dr. Noam Wasserman, and even from Daniella’s father.
