Middle Schoolers Compete in Color Wars with Ometz, Tikvah, and Respect

Middle Schoolers held a thrilling Color War! The students were divided into two teams, "Ometz" (strength) and "Tikvah" (hope), and spent the day reflecting on these important themes as they engaged in their Color War activities. They travelled to Randall's Island for field day games in honor of Lag Ba'Omer, including soccer, football, and a "best team chant" competition. When they returned to school, they engaged in a wide range of games, including a chidon (Torah trivia), a dance-off, singing Alma Mater songs about why they love Ramaz, and presenting hand-painted banners that represented the values of ometz and tikvah.

Importantly, the students understood that even with the artificial barriers of game teams, they are all on the same team: team Am Yisrael. For example, when one team presented a banner about loving Israel and supporting the hostages, the other team burst into cheering "good job" for them. All in all, everyone had tons of fun and emerged feeling more closely bonded than ever. Mazal tov to Team Tikvah for their win, and kol hakavod to everyone for a wonderful and respectful game!
