Middle Schoolers Celebrate Sukkot in Central Park and the Sukkah
Ramaz News
Middle Schoolers took advantage of the beautiful fall weather over Chol Hamoed Sukkot with activities outside in Central Park and in sukkot. After a festive davening with Hallel, lulavim, and etrogim, Middle Schoolers were treated to a special breakfast in the sukkah. One morning, the 9th graders came over from the Upper School to join the 8th graders for a Sukkot shiur. On another morning, musician Uriel Souliman joined the 7th and 8th graders for singing and dancing in the sukkah.
Each grade took turns going to Central Park for some sunshine and sports. 5th and 6th graders worked together to complete team-building challenges. 7th and 8th graders had unstructured time to play sports and relax. The students loved getting the opportunity to unwind outside and check out the beautiful fall foliage in the park.
Middle Schoolers also had the chance to mentor their younger schoolmates from the ECC. Each grade from the ECC took turns visiting the MS sukkah. MS students were paired with an ECC buddy to create Simchat Torah flags. When they were done decorating, everyone came together to dance with the flags. All of the activities culminated on a sweet note, with an ice cream party in the sukkah.
