Third Graders Wrap Up the Year as Math and Poetry Pros
Ramaz News
As the school year comes to a close, our third graders have been busy diving into exciting units in math, reading, and writing. In math, students explored the world of measurement and data, honing their skills in interpreting and creating various types of graphs. From line plots to pictographs and bar graphs, they’ve learned how to collect, organize, and analyze data in meaningful ways. In writing, the students are blossoming into young poets! They recently composed their own “Where I’m From” poems, reflecting on their identities, family backgrounds, and cherished memories. These personal poems beautifully captured each student’s unique story and voice. Building on their poetic talents, students also wrote their own "Ordinary Object" poems. This creative assignment asked them to describe everyday items in unexpected and imaginative ways. It’s been a joy to see how much our third graders have grown this year—not only as learners, but as writers, thinkers, and individuals.
