Third Grade Designs Games

Ramaz News

Third graders in the Lower School Innovation Lab embarked on a game design unit that included microcontrollers. Inspired by common childhood games, students created games that included programming a small computer called a Micro:bit. The Micro:bit was coded to replace dice, a countdown, and a coin flip. Each student experimented with different codes, while being guided by the Design Thinking Process. Students presented their games and even played their own games with other classmates, and then received constructive feedback in order to make the game better.
