The Lower School Celebrates Sukkot with Musical Hallel, Sukkah Hops, Gaga, and Crafts
Ramaz News
Chol Hamoed Sukkot was packed with programming in the Lower School. The day began with a very spirited musical Hallel led by Cantor Berson in the KJ main sanctuary. Students were so excited to sing along to their favorite tunes, and use the lulavim and etrogim that they brought to school.
Throughout Chol Hamoed, each grade held their very own dodgeball tournament in the eighth floor gym. Each class in the grade played a round of gaga, and the winners from each class competed against each other to decide who would be crowned the gaga champion of the grade. Students loved cheering on their classmates in this friendly competition.
Each grade also had the chance to create their own mini-sukkot in the ninth floor sukkah using materials such as popsicle sticks, cardboard, tissue paper, mini tables and chairs, and little lights. In small groups, they worked together to come up with creative designs to display in their classrooms.
Students were able to explore sukkot outside of the school building through trips around the city. Some grades even got to visit the sukkot of their classmates and teachers! Thank you so much to everyone who opened their sukkot to Ramaz students.
