Ramaz News

The Lower School Choir had its final recital and the students are so proud of all their hard work. The choir, which is made up of third grade and fourth grade students, has after school every Monday all year. The club is open to anyone in those grades with no audition required, ensuring that everyone is welcome to experience the joy of musical performance. The group sang Jewish songs in Hebrew, including "Am Yisrael Chai," as well as secular pieces, such as a mashup of "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin and "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley and the Wailers.

This show marked the first of three choir performances this spring. The group will be sing at Park East Day School next week on Wednesday, May 29, with other Jewish schools from the community. They will also sing on Thursday, June 6, at the Prudential Center with approximately 5,000 students from all over New York and New Jersey.
