Lower Schoolers Practice Volleyball Skills

Ramaz News

Lower Schoolers are practicing their volleyball skills this month. The Physical Education teachers choose to focus on two important skills with their students: so, the students are working on two passing methods, "setting" and "bumping." They learn that the proper method of setting is using the fingertips to push the ball up, and that the proper method of bumping is using the forearms to hit the ball. The students begin their skill work by hitting balloons and graduate up to beach balls and lightweight volleyballs. In each class, the P.E. teachers emphasize the importance of working together and supporting teammates. They keep the sessions fun and active to maintain excitement!
