Lower Schoolers Meet Jewish Bestselling Author Sarah Mlynowski

Lower School students were overjoyed to receive a visit from bestselling author Sarah Mlynowski. She recently published her 50th book, A Dragon for Hanukkah, which was inspired by her daughter asking why so few books exist that represent Jewish holidays. She talked with students about the history of the Chanukah and traditional ways to celebrate, and then read aloud her book for the group. She also spoke about what it is like to be an author, including what inspires her to create new stories. She even shared the inside scoop about her next book, which won't come out until August! The students listened attentively to the presentation and asked many excellent questions. Ms. Mlynowski was kind enough to sign many copies of her newest book for Ramaz, which will be distributed to the classroom libraries.
