Lower Schoolers Celebrate Chol Hamoed Sukkot with Sukkah Hops, Hallel, Mad Science, and More
Ramaz News

Lower Schoolers had a Chol Hamoed jam-packed with educational, spiritual, creative, and fun special programming. Each day began with a musical Hallel in the KJ Sanctuary, complete with lulavim and etrogim. While the students enjoyed lunch in the Lower School 9th floor sukkah every day, they also had the opportunity to visit different sukkot. Grade 1 visited Grade 8 in the Middle School sukkah to create Simchat Torah flags. Grade 2 visited their classmates' family sukkot! Thank you to the Arcus, Tuchman, and Dabah families for hosting. Grade 3 visited Morah Iris's sukkah in Brooklyn. Check out this recap video! And, Ms. Hershkowitz welcomed Grade 4 to her family sukkah in Queens!
Back at school, Lower Schoolers participated in Sukkot activities that engaged their minds, bodies, and creative spirit. They created mini sukkot in their classrooms, designed Simchat Torah flags, boogied in a shake-the-lulav freeze dance game, and competed in a Sukkot-themed relay race! They were also treated to a Mad Science show, where they watched exciting experiments and demonstrations with dry ice, fire, and combustion and learned the scientific explanations behind the phenomena they were experiencing.
