Happy Hebrew Day!

Third grade classes Galil and Gilboa learned all about Eliezer Ben-Yehuda as his birthday was this past Shabbat. In Israel last week, the country celebrated Hebrew Day, and so did our school. After learning about Ben-Yehuda's life and his successful revival of the Hebrew language, each student was asked to write down their favorite word in Hebrew. Some students wrote "Shalom," "Yisrael," and their Hebrew names.
