Fourth Graders Study the Impact of 9/11 on NYC

Ramaz News

Fourth graders learned about the September 11 attacks and its significance to New York City and everyone alive at the time. The fourth graders spoke about the fact that any adult who was alive on September 11, 2001 could tell you where they were that day, similar to how they can recount where they were or what they did on days where they heard big news. They then read The Man Who Walked Between the Towers by Mordicai Gerstein which highlights Philippe Petit's miraculous walk across the towers. The book illustrates how high the towers were and how the New York skyline was forever changed when the buildings collapsed.
