Fourth Graders Connect to the American Revolution through Historical Fiction Novels

Ramaz News

Fourth graders have begun an exciting new social studies unit focused on the American Revolution and the formation of the United States. Students started reading I Survived the American Revolution, a historical fiction novel that brings the time period to life with a child protagonist. By experiencing the events through the perspective of a character close to their own age, students build empathy, deepen their understanding, and make meaningful connections to the challenges and choices people faced during the American Revolution. They look forward to continuing the rest of this exciting unit!
