First Graders Play Impressive Grown-Ups with Careers in Science

In science class, first graders are peeking into their future with a unit on careers in science! Acting as marine biologists, they explored ocean life, getting up close and personal with real preserved starfish and sea horses. As botanists, they discovered how seeds are sent into space. As budding cardiologists, they listened to each other's heartbeats using stethoscopes. And, in our very own "animal hospital," they transformed into veterinarians, bringing in their "pets" from home for X-rays, vaccinations, and prescriptions!
