First Graders Choose from 14,000 Library Books to Find their "Just Right" Reads

Ramaz News

First graders are now independently selecting books from the Lower School library shelves! To make informed decisions about which book to take home, they use the skills they learned from the "5-finger rule" to quickly evaluate if a book is too easy, too hard, or just right. This is an invaluable tool as the students are tasked with finding a "just right" book among our collection of over 14,000 books! Using space-saver tools to keep their place on the shelves while evaluating books, and with help from our librarians, first graders are enjoying this exciting new chapter in their reading journeys.
