First-Grade Experts Teach their Parents about Community Workers

First graders have been spending a lot of time researching and understanding the roles of different community workers who impact our lives every day. Each first grader chose to study firefighters, police officers, veterinarians, dentists, or sanitation workers. They authored and illustrated their own books all about the careers and contributions of these community workers. They presented their books, artwork, and everything that they've learned, to their parents during their Community Workers Presentation! After a short introduction by the students, parents were able to wander the room and learn all about community workers from the first-grade experts.
