Video Inside: Pre-K Students Become Doctors, Practice their Biology Unit, and Give Tzedakah to the Ellie Ruby Foundation

Ramaz News

The Pre-K Katom class opened a doctor's office for the teachers and staff! This was a culmination of a month's study of the body and doctors. The children acted as doctors, Hatzalah ambulance workers, receptionists, and nurses. They asked their patients how they felt, listened to their hearts with stethoscopes, took their blood pressure, and decided how to make everyone feel better. Some doctors gave shots and then gave their patients lollipops, stickers, and Band-Aids to feel better. Some doctors performed eye exams and other doctors gave their patients X-rays and casts. That day, the children also did a mitzvah project. The students used the tzedakah money that the class collects in school to make care packages for doctors working in the pediatric oncology unit, through the Ellie Ruby Foundation.
