Students Analyze Fall Trees and Build Their Own

Nursery students are expanding their love of nature to discuss the topic of fall — ​​​​​​​especially how trees and leaves change! They engaged in a group activity in which they examined pictures of trees and identified each tree's roots, trunk, branches, and leaves. They discussed how these parts of a tree relate to their own lives, such as when the children have seen leaves change color and fall. The students were then given "loose parts," different colored polygons, to move on a white board and creatively assemble their own trees!
