Nursery Schoolers Celebrate Springtime with Insect Release, Shavuot Flower Planting, and Crafts

Ramaz News

Nursery schoolers have released their class ladybugs and butterflies! The students have loved raising these creatures from larvae and caterpillars, examining their lifecycles, and learning about metamorphosis. The students have learned important lessons not only about biology but about empathy, understanding that even Hashem's smallest creatures deserve care. Though the students have bonded with their little visitors, they understand the importance of setting them free to live in the wild. The students were joined by GrowTorah's Farmer Sarah, who helped them release the butterflies and ladybugs. She also led the students in an engaging lesson about Shavuot. They learned about a midrash that Hashem made Har Sinai bloom during Matan Torah, so the students connected with this story by planting all kinds of flowers! Back in the classroom, students celebrated springtime even more by employing their creativity to make their very own garden using multisensory arts and crafts.
