Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, picked up a tambourine, and all the women went out after her in dance with tambourines. Exodus:15.20

Ramaz Pre-K classes were inspired today by the story of Miriam. Born into slavery and rushing to escape Egypt when Pharaoh finally granted permission, she left with her tambourine. Why? Because she had faith that miracles were going to occur. Despite the troubled times, despite the challenges, her beliefs were unwavering. She is the heroine of the story, and Jews around the world draw strength, courage and hope from her, thousands of years later.

Our ECC classes prepared for the holiday by creating their own tambourines in springtime colors. We look forward to continuing the tradition of singing and praising God during Passover holiday seders.
