ECC Students Return to the Garden for Parshat Vayakhel-Pekudei

Ramaz News

ECC students were happy to welcome back to GrowTorah, where they learn about Torah through multisensory activities in the garden! This week, classes returned to the garden in the amazing weather to learn about Parshat Vayakhel-Pekudei. Students and Farmer Spence, Ramaz's very own '08 alum, discussed the work of the Mishkan and how the work paused on Shabbat. One type of work is planting, as Bnei Yisrael needed wheat for the lechem hapanim. The children proceeded to plant the first seeds of spring, which will grow into carrots and radishes, and they learned about many spring crops! Everyone is so excited for the rest of the season!
