ECC Students Make Matzah from Scratch in Time for Pesach

Ramaz News

ECC students prepped for Pesach by making their own matzah! They participated in a Matzah Factory workshop with visitor Rabbi Fried and learned all about the process of making matzah from start to finish. They watched how the flour is made from the wheat stalk and even got a chance to grind the wheat berries themselves. They each made their own matzah, learning the proper technique for kneading the dough, rolling the matzah, and poking it to allow moisture to escape, just like it is done in the bakery!

The Matzah Factory program for the ECC is sponsored in honor of Wendy and Sholem Greenbaum by Daniella Greenbaum & Robert Davis and their children.
