ECC Students Launch Another Year of Gardening Fun with GrowTorah

Ramaz News

The ECC welcomed its classes back into the garden with the year's first session of GrowTorah! This year-long program helps students learn about nature, engage all their senses, and explore gardening through the lens of Judaism. At this session, the students discussed what their class might grow this year and how everyone can help their community by growing a garden. They explored the garden and saw what had grown over the summer. Students had fun smelling the lovely mint and basil, while examining the other veggies, like tomatoes, corn and kale. Finally, classes watered their plants to help them grow, or plant radish and lettuce seeds. They kept in mind that some of their harvests will help others in need, just like farmers do! Everyone is looking forward to many more fun and educational garden days ahead.
