News From Ramaz
On Wednesday, January 27, Natan Edelsburg '06 spoke to the members of the Ramaz Middle School Chesed Club. Natan was a very active member of the Chesed Club when he was in the Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School.
He spoke about how the Chesed Club shaped his life and how he continues to use these skills today. An active member in the Ramaz Alumni Association, Natan also raises money for those who cannot afford to attend his beloved sleep-away camp. Additionally, he plays an integral role in giving back to the community through the volunteer work he does at his job.
Edelsburg works for Sawhorse Media, where he helps run "Muck Rack" and the "Shorty Awards." With an eye to current political and technological trends, his central focus remains on good deeds and helping others. The students had the opportunity to ask Natan questions about the work he does, which he answered with eloquence and expertise.
When Natan heard that the Chesed club wanted to hold a raffle to raise money for the seven organizations that came to speak to the Chesed Club this semester, he and his friend, Adam Flomenbaum '06 donated an Amazon Echo as a raffle prize. (Adam was not able to attend the meeting due to a conflict at work, but was represented by Natan.) We look forward to having both Natan and Adam visit the Chesed Club in the near future, so we can let them know how their generous donation helped so many people in need.
