Short is the New Long - Over 200 Inches of Hair Donated
Posted 06/05/2019 12:08PM

You might have thought last Thursday night was business as usual with everyone preparing for Shabbat. However, about 20 students and teachers were involved in another tremendous mitzvah – they donated their hair for Zichron Menachem to create wigs for children with cancer. For some this was their first haircut ever. Others have been growing their hair all year just to complete this mitzvah. All participants were brave and fearless as they saw their hair cut, collected, and packaged to be sent to Israel in the coming weeks. Through our drive this year we were able to collect over 200 inches of hair with many other students looking to donate their hair too before the end of the year. It was a beautiful representation of how our the Ramaz family models its menschlichkeit.

HaKarat HaTov to Eli and the team at Eli's Hair Design salon at 243 East 84th Street, NY, who donated all their time and services for this mitzvah.

We are so proud of everyone involved. Tizku l'mitzvot
