News From Ramaz
Upper School students offered chizuk by sending cards and Rabbi Mayer Moskowitz's book I Have A Friend to Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein and Chabad of Poway.
Chodesh tov Rabbi Goldstein,
We join with you and your community in solidarity. Our students and faculty have listened to the words of chizuk you offered, and have found solace and strength from them.
Ramaz has a long standing tradition of activism, and Hineni is the quote from Isaiah that is at the core of our mission statement, and it captures our sentiments best, especially at this time.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And Who will go for us? And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
Enclosed are personal messages from our students, simple words offering heartfelt wishes. We are here for you!
Also enclosed is a book for you written by Rabbi Mayer Moskowitz who has taught many Judaic subjects in the Upper School. Rabbi Moskowitz is a Holocaust survivor and his poetry, and that of his two granddaughters, reflects the power we have to overcome evil and adversity. Our unwavering faith in the Almighty enables us to go on and on.
