News From Ramaz
This week, the Middle School Torah Bowl teams hosted three other schools for their second meet of the year. The students studied Parashiot Beshalach and Yitro, along with all of Rashi's commentary. The girls' team tied one game and lost three others (two by only one point!), while the boys' team won three of its games!
Here is a sample question from Parashat Yitro: Question: What do we learn from the words לעיני כל ישראל (before the eyes of all Israel) at Mount Sinai? Answer: Rashi says this means that everyone could see, and that even blind people were healed at the giving of the Torah.
