News From Ramaz
Family and friends of the 6th Grade are invited to stop by the Ramaz Middle School lobby and enjoy students' display of Augmented Reality Sketches of Early American Historical Figures.
This project-based learning experience expanded students' library and online research skills. The students used resources and citations to explore famous colonial Americans and the time period in which they lived. The final products were hand-drawn sketches that hide in them a variety of multimedia experiences created by our students -- revealed through augmented reality, a technology that uses a composite view to superimpose a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world.
While visiting the Middle School parents will find the sketches students created in art class, with a set of directions explaining how viewers can view each student's hidden media by scanning the image with the Zappar app.
The Zappar app can be downloaded in Google Play and Apple's App Store.
