K-Tcheylet learned all about Eilat, which included doing research, writing a brochure, and recreating the city in their classroom. After learning about Eilat, the children had many questions about sea life. Their questions helped to propel the class to learn more about it. They learned that there are different levels of the sea and made three areas of the class to represent each layer. They figured out how to make fish to scale and then compared them both to each other and to themselves. They decided they wanted to figure out how to make their own aquarium. Luckily, Audrey's grandparents have an amazing fish tank in their apartment. The children gleefully went over to see this firsthand. They had questions for Audrey's grandparents and they were able to see a real eel, gorgeous fish, and beautiful coral. Thank you to the family for opening their home and extending our learning! K-Tcheylet is ready to take on the challenge of building an aquarium and transforming their room into an ocean!
