Ramaz welcomes families who share our goals of academic and spiritual growth for their children. We welcome all students and parents to join PanoRAMa Week, November 15-18th. A week of virtual classes and information sessions to learn more about Ramaz and experience it for yourself! Sign up here to attend these special classes and sessions. Registration is required to receive the Zoom links.
We are excited to host in-person visits to our building! Parent tours will be available starting in October. Student half day visits will be in December and limited to applicants only. Proof of vaccination required.Once we have received your application (by November 29, 2021) and $150 processing fee, we will contact you regarding your child's interviews. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all admissions interviews will be held via Zoom. Students will receive their Zoom link in advance of their interview. Students will also be required to compose two writing samples, one English and one Hebrew, as part of their interview.
A complete application includes two recommendations from recent teachers, one General Studies and one Judaic studies. Middle School report cards/transcripts from the last 2 years must be requested to be sent to the Ramaz Admissions Office in advance of the deadlines. An email will be sent directly to the applicant’s teachers and school administrator with the formal request and recommendation forms. Applicants for 9th grade are required to take the Yeshiva High School Placement Exam (formerly the BJE's), comprised of the Judaic Studies JSAT level 8 exam. If your child attends a non-participating middle school and needs to register for the JSAT test, parents should visit Consortium of Jewish Day Schools and click the “Order JSAT Level 8 – ‘Out of Network’ Students” link to select a location and register. The General Studies component of the entrance exam has been cancelled this year. Instead, parents must request the latest standardized test scores from their child’s middle school be sent to the Ramaz Admissions Office as part of the transcripts/report cards. A complete application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Late applications to grade 9 will be reviewed on a space-available basis. If you are interested in applying after March 23, 2022 please contact the admissions office at 212-774-8093 before submitting an application. Applications for transfer students into grade 10 are reviewed on a rolling basis after March 10, 2022.
Ramaz is committed to providing tuition assistance to those who require it. All tuition assistance information is kept in the strictest of confidence and has no bearing on admissions decisions.
Early tuition assistance is offered to families that are new to Ramaz in order to make the enrollment decision easier. If families provide completed applications by the early deadline, we will provide tuition assistance packages prior to the due date for enrollment.
